Our approach to privacy
SAFE Activists does not use analytics, advertising trackers or technologies designed to identify, profile or follow visitors.
We do not try to determine who visits the website or build profiles of how individual people use it.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use tracking cookies.
We do not use:
- advertising cookies;
- analytics cookies;
- social-media tracking pixels;
- behavioural profiling;
- browser fingerprinting;
- cross-site tracking.
The website may use strictly necessary technical functionality provided by the website software or hosting infrastructure, but this is not used by SAFE Activists to track visitors.
Server logs
Like most websites, the web server or hosting provider may temporarily process technical information required to deliver and protect the site.
This can include information such as:
- IP address;
- date and time of a request;
- requested page;

- technical error and security information.
SAFE Activists does not use this information to identify ordinary visitors, create user profiles or monitor individual browsing behaviour.
Technical logs may be retained temporarily for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and the reliable operation of the website.
If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you choose to provide, including your email address and the contents of your message.
We use this information only as necessary to respond to your enquiry, continue relevant correspondence, maintain appropriate records or protect the security of the people and projects involved.
We do not sell personal information or use email correspondence for advertising.
Because SAFE Activists works with people who may face security risks, please avoid sending highly sensitive information by ordinary email unless you are comfortable doing so.

Their privacy practices are outside our control. When you follow an external link, the destination website may collect information according to its own privacy policy.
On some sensitive SAFE Activists briefing pages we additionally prevent the visitor's originating page from being sent to external websites through the browser's referrer mechanism.
Sharing personal information
SAFE Activists does not sell personal information.
